Lisa V offers private painting lessons at her downtown studio in Sandpoint Idaho. Lisa V is currently not taking any new full-time students.The painting lessons are $145. per class. The lesson is 1.5 hours long and everything is supplied for you. Just show up and paint away. During each class you will finish your painting and ideally have a better understating of perspective, composition and blending paint pm the canvas Text or E-mail for availability.
You are welcome to pick from one of the designs below or bring a design of your own. Our focus is on the 5 keys of perspective and how to understand the composition and layout. These are guided lessons with the focus on how to use paint to its fullest on canvas. without the math,line of horizon or grid system.

Sandpoint can be a very busy town during the day and that means parking can be a challenge so I recommend showing up a few minutes early and use the free public parking just a half a block from my studio on Main street just behind the US Bank parking lot. Then walk down the street towards the Panida Theatre to 109 Main street. I look forward to painting with you all.

One-on-One Painting
I have been painting my whole life and like many other artists, I love it. Something about painting makes me happy. I didn't plan on becoming an artist, but the joy and excitement of painting kept calling me back. The biggest struggle for me was the layout and perspective. Let’s face it, dimensions can be tricky at first. Actually, I literally ignored it for a long time when I first started. After years of struggled I discovered that I sucked at painting and that’s when I knew I had to address perspective if my art was going to get better.
After teaching school kids for almost ten years, I discovered a system. This system looked at perspective a different way, an easy way, the way kids looks at things. The biggest difference was that it required no math. Yep you heard right, no math, no vanishing point and, no lines of horizon. This, different than most traditional ways of painting, was so easy that even an 8-year-old could follow along. It takes all the layout and breaks it up so the artist can see the design right away. After all we all want to paint, not spend hours figuring out what to paint and how to lay it out.
If you’re already a great painter you probably won’t need these type of lessons. You probably have your own system of handling perspective. But if you need help in guiding your paintings with simple step-by-step layouts than these one-on-one lessons are perfect for you. In addition to teaching you perspective by just painting, your designs start to get better every time you paint.
If you practice the system, it will teach you how to paint with ease and you don’t have to do anything but, just keep enjoying yourself while painting. These designs give you all the layout so you can start right away. The absolute best part about this system is that once you learn it you can start to create your own designs on anything you want to paint. Imagine painting whatever you want while doing the layout with ease.
If you want to get really good then painting requires practice, practice, practice. And that’s what these one-on-one lessons are about. If you truly want to get professional and sell your crafts, then the more paintings you do, the better you’ll get. If there was anything I would have wished for, when learning how to paint, something that would have saved me years of struggle, it would have been this system of painting.
I have been teaching for over 25 years and still use this system to create all of my creations. You can become a master and enjoy the beauty of your own art and see it with your own eyes. Not to mention have beautiful art for your home and office.

$300 - Six Week Course
6, 1 hour meetings that are divided into two parts.
1. Reviewing your art and working on how to improve it with specific techniques based off of your skill level. Everyone has a different way of expressing themselves and we want to enhance yours with tried and true methods for your own improvement. This is an important first step to understanding how practice will help you get better every time you do it. The art will be viewed based off of, The 5 Keys of Perspective, rules.
If you choose we can spend the whole meeting on creating a painting with one-on-one painting lessons to help you get better at what you love. Imagine being able to create paintings good enough to put in your own home or office or sell if you desire. If you choose to have one-on-one lessons please go to the designs to choose from page to choose six designs that we will paint together. You can either buy a painting kit from me or have a canvas, acrylic paints and brush of your own to use.
2. The second half of the meetings we will define your goals and strategies to use in order to implement them. Learn about narrowing in on your vision with daily routines that will change your perception about you and your art business. This is a deep dive process that goes into your art business practices that get sales.
